AI engines cite evidence
So do engineers
My name is Shane O’Connor. I advise developer-tool and AI companies on go-to-market, from Cork, Ireland, and I wrote the open-source GTM Co-Founder skills.[1]
I kept seeing the same thing with the founders I work with. They had the best evidence in their category, a real benchmark or a production setup nobody else could describe, and when a buyer asked an AI which tool to use, the answer quoted a competitor’s comparison page or a directory list instead.
The usual fixes did not fit. Dashboards show you the gap and stop there. Content tools write a lot, fast, and nobody checks the numbers. Specialist agencies are good, and cost more than most early teams can spend.
Citeplane is the tool I wanted for them. It finds the buying questions a company is losing, then writes the page that should win, from that company’s own evidence. Every number has to trace to a source. Anything it cannot trace is flagged for a person, never published silently.
It is early. If you have something real to say and AI is quoting someone else, run the free check, or write to me at shane@qcgrowth.com.
